Pogo's Tick is a lively piece which challenges advanced players (RCM 9-10). One of my favorites, with a recurring dissonant staccato chord in bar 2. It mirrors a pogo stick's bounce. With boogie woogie bass and stride piano solo, The 'tick' in bar 2 adds energy and creativity. Constantly changing time signatures keep the listener engaged.
