Cameron Munn has over forty years experience composing music and teaching piano, music history, and music theory.

 

His passion for music began at the age of three, when he would rush down to copy what his older brother had just practiced on the piano. After waiting four years to begin his own formal lessons, Cameron finally received his first instruction at age seven - the start of a lifelong musical journey.

 

By the time Cameron was fifteen, he was already teaching his own students. He is an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, and earned his ARCT Piano Teacher's degree in 1983 from the University of Toronto. Over the years, he has taught over one thousand students in his private studio.

 

Composing has always been a central part of Cameron's musical life. From his first theory class at age eleven, he was captivated by the process of writing music. After receiving his first manuscript paper, he wrote his very first piece that same night - even though his teacher insisted, "You are not supposed to be able to do that yet!"

Today, Cameron is dedicated to passing on his passion for music to as many students as possible. His goal is to empower young musicions with the skills, knowledge, and confidence thaey need to become the best musicians they can be.
